In just a few days the Autumn Equinox will be here in the Northern Hemisphere. And tomorrow will be the U.N. International Day of Peace.
This has always been a favorite time of the year for me, and many honor the festival of Mabon (September 22) as the balance of light and dark. It is a time of reflection, and honoring our harvests.
Peace begins within each of us, and then extends to our neighbors and our world. One global event honoring this equinox is Solar Wave 2009, which suggests an Equinox sunrise service followed by your choice of community service. www.kachina.net/~alunajoy/solarwave2009.html
