| Change of the Sun, Lake Monticello |
"The Maya, during the nights of darkness,
never lose their fire which will be the torch
that illuminates the long night
before the new Sun comes."
before the new Sun comes."
~ Mayan Grand Elder "Wandering Wolf"
A few weekends ago I spent some time admiring the sunset at Lake Monticello. At this time of year the sunsets are very inspiring, and reminded me of the process our Earth is going through now.
The Maya call this time process now a "Change of the Sun". There is an inspiring group of film makers preparing a movie called "2012 and the New Sun" based on this thought. Please take a look at a preview on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcaez8jn2Zg
Following the Sun, Moon and planets in our solar system is a way to enrich the wonder in one's life, and assist in charting one's course. Mariners have used the stars for centuries to chart theirs.
