First Frost

Morning Enlightenment
"Afoot and light-hearted
I take to the open road,
Healthy, free, the world before me.
The long brown path
leading wherever I choose."
 ~ Walt Whitman

Morning comes and brings the light to shine on us all and comforts us with its glowing warmth.

Illuminating the day and our paths ahead, shining sweetly and brightly, like a lighthouse, a beacon greeting us and showing us the way out of the darkness.

Outside my window, frost on the roof glistens and crystals dance and sing the Hallows Eve song. Whispers of early winter are here.

The birch trees are full of golden yellow finches, flying and hovering like hummingbirds from one golden, green leaf to another.

There is a stillness and an air of peace surrounding this time of day, stirring our bodies and souls.

Our ancestors are smiling.

Forgiveness comes with a happy heart.

The Path of Unknown Souls

Across the sea of mystic dreams,
Three ships came in the night,
and moored near marshlands
out of sight.

Old Sheldon Church
This cargo, precious, filled
with darkness and light,
and secrets kept from ages past,
do now, in the present unfold.

For I have seen
the mystery,
and walked the path
of the unknown souls.
